Preserve summer energy in reusable iron carriers for later use.

Fairlight’s seasonal operating window is a development objective.

01

Generation. Buffering. Preservation.

Solar supplies immediate demand. A lithium-ion battery manages fast response and the daily cycle. Fairlight is developing a third layer: iron-based carriers designed to hold seasonal energy between processing cycles.

02

More capacity. Shared machinery.

In the proposed architecture, additional storage capacity comes from additional carriers. A common station performs charging, discharge and preservation. Power and stored capacity can therefore be engineered as separate decisions.

03

The engineering question

Reversible iron chemistry is only part of the challenge. Useful seasonal storage also depends on dormant-state stability, process energy, repeatable wetting and drying, service life and total system economics. These remain subjects for validation.
